TEACHING STATISTICS IN SCHOOLS IN BULGARIA Marta Sugareva, Mariana Mourgova
Abstract: Living in the contemporary society in the XXI century requires a certain level of mathematical and statistical literacy to be attained by every citizen. However statistical literacy of the young generation in Bulgaria proves to be insufficient, inspite of latest reforms in the system of education. According to International assessment PISA, for all years since Bulgaria is involved in this assessment the 15-year-old students in Bulgaria have a mean score in Maths below the OECD average.
